Holo-4-Edu
3D Multi-User Hologram Tables for Innovative Teaching in Mining Engineering and Medicine
Even though the topics of teaching medicine and mining are far apart, they have one thing in common: the difficulty of making three-dimensional imagination practical and tangible for students. This is to be solved by the Holo-4-Edu project, in which the possible uses of hologram tables for future-oriented university teaching are being researched. The development, testing, evaluation, and curricular anchoring of didactically detailed, interactive multi-user hologram learning modules will be carried out. According to the principle of participatory action research, teaching concepts for selected courses of various geoscientific, raw materials science and medical courses are developed. An important element is the use of a student committee, which is actively involved in the development of the teaching concepts.
In this project, the IMA is developing the requirements for teaching and learning using design thinking methods. Gamification elements and concepts for remote learning will be developed iteratively together with the project partners. Subsequently, the IMA will evaluate the usability and the learning success of the teaching concepts.
