Digital and Virtual Learning Cultures in Organisations of the Manufacturing Sector

In addition to an empirical survey of the necessary factors of digital learning cultures, the project d:v:lop aims at the development of measures for improving media competence in areas of professional, personal and managerial competences.
The emergence and the development of new learning cultures integrates digital learning media as intuitive and natural formats, thus creating uncertainty and skepticism. Furthermore, the efficient linking of existing digital media, organizational cultural items and learning contents, for example, creates suitable teaching units for the production facilities, which transfers the experience of older employees to young junior staff. Digital media, methodologically embedded in the organizational culture of the respective departments, offer many opportunities for the transfer of critical knowledge in demographic change. As a result, the company benefits from the opportunities offered by digital training and education for employees and organizations in terms of individual and lifelong learning, agility, timeliness, knowledge transfer, accessibility and cooperation.
In addition to the concepts for the integration of digital media, the project will also implement media workshops at the trial-partners Daimler, Garlock and 3win, by means of employees of the companies can increase their media competency and thus use digital media efficiently in learning situations.
