OecherLab – Developing Aachen into a Smart Hub for Co-Creation

Digitalisation affects all of us. It changes the way we live, work and how our cities are designed. Therefore, it is important to get to know, discuss and develop digital solutions for a liveable Aachen jointly with parties from society, science, business, city administration and politics. With the aim to jointly shape Aachen into a Smart City, the project consortium will launch the OecherLab in October 2020. This Lab will be an open, lively and dynamically changing shop floor, where everyone can become an active part of Aachen's future. Future technologies and concepts that have the potential to change our daily lives are presented, explained and made touchable. In the OecherLab, future visions and projects for a digital city of tomorrow are designed, tested, and developed collectively. In various events on topics such as mobility, health, city development, and work 4.0, the citizens of the city of Aachen become co-developers to find answers to social challenges. The premises of the OecherLab are open to everyone for the entire course of the project - come in and join us on our path to a SmartCity!
