Creation of a Thread Supply Control Loop for a Tufting Machine in order to reduce the Set-up Costs
The aim of this research project is to develop a control loop for the tufting process. With help from the control loop, an adjustment that will make tufting machines considerably more simplified will be facilitated. Moreover, the control loop ensures that a guarantee for the continued optimisation of thread tension is maintained during the production process and in doing so, the number of rejects is reduced. As part of the TQM approach, an appropriate and methodical procedure for the creation of a thread supply control loop for a tufting machine is developed.
