Development of a technology transfer concept for networking textile process chains
In the project VerTex 4.0, IMA & IfU are working together with the Institute of Textile Technology (ITA) of RWTH Aachen University to overcome one of the major obstacles currently facing the German textile industry. Textile process chains - especially beyond company boundaries - are characterized by strong fragmentation. A (digital) flow of information between sub-processes, machines and locations only rarely exists. Within the project, on the basis of this research gap, we are therefore developing an Industry 4.0-based technology transfer concept for networking textile process chains for a sustainable increase in efficiency. The project is funded over two years by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) within the framework of the Industrial Community Research (IGF) (IGF No. 20125N).
