Talk Nerdy To Me
A Science Communication Bootcamp
EIT RawMaterials, together with RWTH Aachen University and TU Clausthal, are organizing a two days event Talk Nerdy To Me on the 2nd and 3rd July 2019 in Goslar, Germany. TNTM addresses students carrying out research in raw materials and its related disciplines and fields, such as functional materials, materials sciences, mining engineering, the engineering sciences, geology, metallurgy and other related disciplines and fields.
Talk Nerdy To Me will be a 2-day communication bootcamp and workshop where students will learn how to effectively communicate and present their research to different target groups – policymakers, their peers in the scientific community and private funding organizations – and thereby increasing the impact of their research.
The format of TNTM will be a mix of plenary training modules and interactive break-out sessions in smaller, more focused groups. The plenary modules will be led by experts providing tips and the do’s and don’ts on body language, vocal cadence and how to capture and maintain the interest of your audience.
