As part of the BMBF competence cluster Intelligent Battery Cell Production "InZePro", research is being carried out in the OptiPro project to optimize the finalization of battery cells. The aim of the project is to increase efficiency while reducing costs in the final step of the production process. By implementing a virtual representation of the production system, it will be possible to map the entire finalization process on a data basis and to examine and optimize it using artificial intelligence (AI). The virtual mapping makes it possible to monitor the real process in real time and to derive quality predictions using the AI model. If the predicted quality deviates from the target value, the AI provides new parameter specifications to guide the process back into the desired quality window.

In this way, we are making an important contribution to the highly efficient production of battery cells for the electromobility of the future.
