EIT Health Innovation Days
A design thinking workshop for all students of all subjects tackle challenges in health sector in interdisciplinary teams
The EIT Health Innovation Days is funded by the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT) and aims at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe. A consortium of 21 partners all across Europe host a number in many different locations, coordinated by the Imperial College in London. In late 2019, the IMA will organize Aachen’s second Innovation Day. In this one-day Design Thinking Workshop, students of all subjects are invited to tackle a challenge in health in interdisciplinary teams. They are introduced to Design Thinking as creative and user-centered method. In a structured process, they generate ideas in creative phases in order to then implement them as simple prototypes to test and adapt iteratively. A team of trained facilitators guides the teams through their individual design processes and a health start-up gives insights into the opportunities and challenges in entrepreneurship in this sector. At the end of the day, an expert jury will chose the best idea
