Together with the Chair of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components at RWTH Aachen University and project partners from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in Aachen and the Helmholtz Institute Ulm, the IMA is investigating in the "DataBatt" project how concepts from information technology can be transferred to the production of battery cells for electromobility and how these can be expanded and applied. In particular, the focus is on the design and standardization of data structures and their interfaces.

The results from the project form the basis for flexible, process-specific control of plant technology, help detect anomalies in production, shorten run-in processes, increase overall effectiveness and thus lead to a reduction in production costs. In particular, the focus is on the design and standardization of data structures and their interfaces. The aim of the project is to enable aggregation and use of data along the entire value chain of battery cell production.
