Digitisation of the further education offers in ELLI 2

The digital summer semester also posed challenges for the Excellent Teaching and Learning in Engineering (ELLI 2) project: in order to be able to offer the seminars and workshops included in the project for students and lecturers at the Aachen location in this semester as well, they were redesigned and converted to digital delivery.

The concept of the flipped classroom was used: While the theoretical basics and content are taught in advance of the seminar via videos, the seminar, which is conducted digitally using the online meeting tool Zoom, deepens the content and learning through experience. The digitised seminars are "Gamification Training for Teachers", "Science Etiquette", "Dealing with Diversity - Diversity Qualification for Tomorrow's Leaders", "Collaborative Interdisciplinary", "How to Become an Entrepreneur", "How to Become a Dr.-Ing." and "Target Group-Adaptive Writing and Presenting". By using Zoom, exercises similar to the previous face-to-face seminars could also be worked on in small groups and reflected on together through synchronous implementation.
